Kwooka Health Services is an Aboriginal-led charity based in Perth. We are working towards community health screening and clean water for remote Western Australia, and we say plainly on this site what is running today and what is still being built.

Community-Led Innovation

An Aboriginal community-controlled organization dedicated to improving health outcomes and environmental sustainability across Western Australia.

Bridging Tradition & Technology

Kwooka Health Services Ltd is an Aboriginal-led charity registered with the ACNC since 29 October 2025 (ABN 89 692 351 796). We started it because there is technology and infrastructure sitting in the cities that never makes its way out to the communities that need it, and because the people carrying it out there should be our own.

We are early on, and we would rather say that than dress it up. We hold five awarded Be Connected grants for digital inclusion with older Aboriginal people and Elders, delivering across Perth, Kalgoorlie, Karratha and Broome. Health screening, clean water and community laundries are in development, and the work there is partnerships, clinical governance and community relationships.

We are not endorsed as a deductible gift recipient, so donations to us are not tax deductible, and we are not running a public fundraising appeal. Funders, trusts, community organisations and suppliers are welcome to contact us directly.

Health & Digital

What is running, and what is being built

  • Digital Inclusion — running now: Five awarded Be Connected grants across Perth, Kalgoorlie, Karratha and Broome. We run digital skills sessions and loan tablets with a year of data to older Aboriginal people and Elders who have nothing connected at home. Delivered through Good Things Australia for the Australian Government.
  • Health Screening Partnerships: We are assessing early-detection screening technologies. Nothing is used in community until it is included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods and cleared by our clinical governance.
  • Working With Community Health Services: We work alongside Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services. Our role is to extend what they already do, not to run a parallel service.
  • Community Consultation: Yarn-up sessions with communities, Elders and health workers about what early detection could look like on their Country — and whether they want it at all.
  • NDIS Registration — in progress: We are progressing an application to become a registered NDIS provider. We are not currently registered and do not provide NDIS services.

Water Solutions

Atmospheric water generation

  • Atmospheric Water Generation: Solar-powered technology that extracts clean drinking water from air humidity
  • Remote Community Supply: Designed for communities without reliable water infrastructure. No system is installed yet — we are seeking funding and community partners
  • Water Quality: Any system we deliver will be commissioned and independently tested against the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines before community use
  • Environmental Sustainability: Zero-emission water production reducing reliance on trucked water
  • Integrated Design: Water systems designed to support community laundries, so both can run off-grid in the same location
